GRAHAM POTTER was pleased to secure a record Prem points tally last week and did not want to rest on laurels but give domestic support a reason to leave with a rare feeling of victory following many months of mundane home returns.
GP consulted his crystal ball and a vision to go with the flow emerged. He did not tempt fate to make alterations bar one enforced by injury. Gross started in another strong attacking line up.

4-0 - 60 . TROSSARD finished close home a cross come shot by Welbeck fired across the hapless custodian.

NOTED: direct and decisive football prevailed, taking the play into visitors half and established hosts advantage.

FIRST HALF: the first goal as ever is crucial to unfolding pattern of events and on balance it favoured the home side.
SECOND HALF: after turnaround Seagulls flew and by the hour mark it was all over bar those echoes of celebration around the Amex.
Chants of derision from away support hit their dugout.
The difference in attitude on & off field was palpable.
If Brighton had netted five, six or seven that would also merely have reflected blue & white superiority and will to win.
