Welcome to Brightonfans website.
There are many long-term supporters and now a large group of new fans that follow Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club. We are all proud of the world-class American Express Community Stadium at Falmer on outskirts of the city, where the team plays its home matches. Whether thirty thousand fans attend regularly for games or not, our purpose here is to provide reports in an original way for posting on line to reach a much wider, probably global, audience.
This website was set up in 2002 by Simon aka Goldstoneghost, when the internet was expanding in popularity and BHAFC, also with tremendous success, had returned from exile to play Football League fixtures at the Withdean Sports Complex, in suburbs of Brighton.
Simon was joined in reporting by Fatmanslims during 2005 and extra pages were added, to compile an ongoing database of miscellaneous information & statistics, including; match histories, past stats, yearly squads and an archive of managers.
When the club moved to Falmer in 2011, the site also received a makeover in conjunction with our revised status & increased fan-base. Apart from records, we also aim to offer; observations, current opinion and some critique.
We are very happy to be known as the football site for Brighton fans worldwide.
We hope you find the site informative, stimulating, thought provoking and maybe a little nostalgic too.
