Game played under revised tier 4 covid restrictions in southeast England - no fans allowed inside stadiums.
PRE-MATCH: Xmas was history and New Year a couple of sleeps ahead. December had been a busy month but distinctly lacking in tally of points returned for scheduled time spent on the pitch.
WEATHER: cloudy and cold.
GRAHAM POTTER made six changes to that away starting eleven at Stratford on Sunday.
This line up was unproven to say least and caused much varied comments on socials & such.
An array of nine substitutes predominately appeared like a huddle of spare attackers.

GOALS: 0-1 - 66 . a quick counter by visitors opens Seagulls up and produces a quality finish for their fresh sub.

SYNOPSIS: visitors began with impetus but hosts gradually worked a way into the contest by forcing opponents back.
Locals had a fluid game plan from back to front and further caused forays and threats forwards from extended midfield.
However for all that oblique perseverance it remained goalless by halftime.
During the second period each outfit probed to open scoring and the game hung in balance at stalemate.
Gunners then took the lead after an hour passed and next Potter put on two attacking subs... and very soon another.
The display became something of groundhog day 2020 for hosts as the display tailed off in repeat fashion as previously for winless runs.
NUMBERS: poss 50%-50%, on target 2-3, off target 11-8, corners 5-4, fouls 11-4, yellows 2-0, subs 3-3.
CONCLUSION: no clean sheet, fail to score, less than average performance by both regulars and squad players, not taking advantage of fine margins, opportunities or developing control from positive situations. QED.
