FIRST HALF: hosts never appeared comfortably in control despite racking up a series of half chances and goal-scoring opportunities.
In fact the lead came via one of the more difficult attempts that was converted with skill.
SECOND HALF: it was more of a Prem performance from Seagulls as plucky visitors toiled to stay in the game before finally running out of puff.
Locals experience and game management kept pedal to the metal in latter stages and stoppage time.
IN THE END: there would have been a lot learned by coaches from a competent display from a revised squad needing to gel during minutes on the pitch.
