FIRST HALF: superb finishing from a prodigious young talent helped hosts to establish home advantage.
SECOND HALF: Seagulls slumped into slow, static positioning that lacked vigour or attacking movement.
Saints hit back but VAR denied an equaliser around the hour mark.
The wake-up alarm call got heeded and grabbing a third goal put locals back in control against the deflated bottom club.
