FIRST HALF: after travellers early wobble, Steele kept visitors on level terms when denying hosts spot kick.
Seagulls eventually led but at the psychological moment conceded just prior to the intermission.
SECOND HALF: past the hour mark the home eleven were hanging in there backed by vociferous support.
Hosts then led and visitors game-plan was littered with continuous errors in an intimidating cauldron of noise.

IN THE END: Brighton were beaten by poor finishing and weak defending at a home venue of very high decibels.
It all seemed like a physical & mental reaction to FA Cup extra-time exploits at the weekend.
