FIRST HALF: as the first fifteen minutes were goalless further play up to the interval actually appeared less likely to give hosts a breakthrough.
Chances came and went in front of the determined metropolitan outfit.
SECOND HALF: more application to gain advantage in visitors half came increasingly to nought with stalemate remaining until very late.
Many more viable attempts racked up home stats in everything bar finally scoring a goal.

IN THE END: a single score decided the result - that frustrated locals found hard to take but travellers enjoyed immensely.
