FIRST HALF: hosts football was of good quality, especially one-touch passing interchanges to go forwards.
But scoring a perfect goal was a matter of conjecture.
SECOND HALF: locals moved up the gears while visitors laboured to link back with front to any effect in open play.
Once in front Seagulls floated on air and were not unduly pushed to hold down sporadic opposition counter measures.

IN THE END: almost a pyrrhic victory against a below standard Reds display. And on scrutiny the clean sheet said it all.
Goal scorers will rightly gain plaudits, however Seagulls rearguard operated effectively, as unsung heroes, in a pukka team performance.
