FIRST HALF: travellers went a goal ahead quickly but momentum was regained by hosts almost immediately.
VAR took a turn or two during cut & thrust of a competitive forty-five minutes that finished equal bar 10 v 11.
SECOND HALF: huffing & puffing ensued from blue & white as locals proceeded to repel raiders and counter when they could.
The clock ticked past the phase for subs and still the result hung in balance. Stats racked up and law of averages applied.
IN THE END: a close run thing but fortune favours the brave and on this occasion for the team who scored one more.
