FIRST HALF: chances began to occur against another visiting outfit content to sit in and grind it out for stalemate.
SECOND HALF: ditto above.
De Zerbi appeared visually reactive to happenings via body language but remained cautious tactically and merely tinkered with minimal substitutions.
OF NOTE: a pattern of play that moves the ball relatively safely & sedately during build-up but too quickly in the box when trying to score a perfect team goal.
The attacking method & drills went thru motions but there was no natural end product.
IN THE END: it ended as it began - goalless.
The performance may be described as adequate, although certainly not clinical.
A goal poacher or player capable of instinctive movement seems lacking - a flaw in the current set up.
