FIRST HALF: it was fast and furious via both outfits from kickoff. Hosts long ball game was evident and chances cropped up at regular intervals on transition from back to front.
That it remained goalless at the interval was indicative of fine margins deployed in active time & space.
SECOND HALF: Seagulls opener was slightly against run of play and the result anticipated a single goal victory if visitors could be held at bay.
In the event locals dug in with a have & hold performance.
Potter was reactive with alterations, using two double changes to keep an overall balance from like for like.
His final sub was defensive to see out stoppage time.
IN THE END: on balance of play home advantage paid dividends in producing three points from one score in an even match.
