RESULT: 0-0 . . . . SHAPE: 3-5-2

VENUE: Carrow Road, Norwich - fourth away match of eight fixtures to date . Sat 3pm.
PRE-MATCH: the Prem was back following October pause for internationals, with yet another break scheduled three weeks ahead. So pandemics apart we know it should be a steady run through afterwards until the FA Cup third round weekend during early January.
Whether Brighton would still hold a place in the top ten at the halfway stage is, like questions of supply & demand for Xmas, open to conjecture.
WEATHER: mild afternoon .

GRAHAM POTTER remains whiskered, although with changing seasons it seems perhaps practical rather than sentimental.
He realises any moment within a ninety minute look at the mirror could be enough to provoke tearing hair out.
The starting eleven was as before at beginning of this month. Fit again Bissouma & Mwepu now joined substitutes.
INJURED: 17 Alzate, 18 Welbeck . . . SQUAD: 4 Webster, 30 Richards.

SUBS: 59 - Lamptey for Veltman . 66 - March for Cucurella . 84 - Mac Allister for Moder.

FIRST HALF: a big call midway through this period was decided by powers that be as a benign occurrence. Visitors felt aggrieved but plugged away for an opener prior to the interval. In stoppage hosts missed a sitter. It was all very average.
SECOND HALF: travellers performance continued to tail off and Potter changed both wingbacks around the hour mark. Everything appeared to reduce to a mean level of bottom-six style football between two pedestrian sides.

FUNDAMENTALS: poss 35%-65%, on target 3-3, off target 12-8, corners 8-4,
fouls 5-14, yellows 3-4, subs 3-3, shape 532-352 . . . . . gd3 pt15 po4
