VENUE: the Amex, Falmer - eighteenth home match of thirty-six fixtures to date.
Game played behind closed doors as per terminating covid restrictions protocols . Saturday 8pm.
PRE-MATCH: Brighton fans sitting at home just prior to motd highlights had three days to wait before about eight thousand balloted paying customers would return to the community stadium at the concluding domestic live event.
For the time being, knowing Albion would be a Prem club next term, it should suffice to alleviate withdrawal symptoms, mild depression, spasmodic palpitations and an annual nagging feeling of wavering on the edge.
WEATHER: showers.

GRAHAM POTTER had all but made it ok through his second Prem season and thus far merely had to add to existing kudos with expert starting selection, superior tactics, inspired substitutions and invigorating final whistle interviews.
Dunk & Maupay were suspended so the squad reshuffled with Alzate & Moder included to start.
Andone joined substitutes after very many moons adrift in the wilderness.
Gross now wore the captains armband.

Subs got on for the last quarter or so and locals forced forwards in offensive manner, travellers relying more on counters.
Going into final moments hosts defended to preserve the clean sheet but it was quickly surrendered all too easily.
