It was a place we had visited via football geography and also historically by league position through two divisions on our protracted journey from gutter to the stars.
WEATHER: wet northwest regional evening in February . KIT: blue shirts.
GRAHAM POTTER took his revised match-day squad north on midweek roads, following three consecutive contests at the Amex since mid January.
A new era of introducing quality young talent from sources both at home and abroad is in process of evolution.

SYNOPSIS: a goalless first forty-five minutes was credit to visitors shape, front to back organisation and solidity in deep defence.
Opening scoring was a boost to Seagulls bid in attempt to keep a clean sheet by disciplined defending and game management.
Reaction from hosts was to change personnel after the hour. Potter was then forced into substitution, so reshuffled in midfield. Later strikers were added.
Albion continued to take the game to hosts and remained stoic at the back.
The final whistle registered an away win built on resolve to prevent Reds scoring and taking opportunities at the other end to boot.
NUMBERS: poss 63%-37%, on target 1-4, off target 10-9, corners 4-3,
fouls 12-6, yellows 1-0, subs 3-3, shape 433-541 . gd-5 pt24 po15
OVERVIEW: Brighton fans accept not merely philosophy of expansive Potter ball but also obvious ups & downs encountered on this pathway. While elite clubs are able to take the high road to get where they want, BHA has to climb from low level.
The excitement on route being that there is always potential for car crash involvement along the way.
