A massive venue with 49k capacity on banks of river Wear. Joke allocation of 3000 for away mob in west corner of south stand behind goal. Gotta sing loud to make an impression on home mob so high from distant upper tiers. All mod cons but big crowds & queues as per usual.

A1 north to A690, then A19. Go over river bridge and turn for city on A1231.
Head straight on for quite a distance until stadium visible on right.
Station in city centre, walkable in 20 mins. Or take a metro service to St Peters near stadium.

LAST THERE - Falmer years:
Prem 14/3/26 . first visit since '04 and got a nice result.
no visits from 2011 to 2025.
Withdean era:
C'ship 30/10/04 . Over 1000 Albion in a crowd of 25k saw us get done 2-0. Long way to go and all.
