Travel: Portsmouth

Portsmouth's GroundFRATTON PARK

A strange sort of place and somehow got to reach Prem standards. Had 20k capacity with away support at east (Milton) end (was originally open to elements - Gene Kelly stand!) and very 20th century.
Up to 3000 visitors and only Albion fans could remember the Withdean effect.

Club wanted to relocate or redevelop but you know how it is with administration!

nav - PO4 8RA
50 miles. M27 onto A27, A2030 for Southsea. Street parking.
Station at Fratton and pretty close by.

LAST THERE -
Falmer years: 13/8/11 Ch'ship.
Great Albion turn-out for rare south-coast derby. Tremendous atmosphere throughout proceedings.
Withdean era: 31/8/02 Ch'ship.
Our one meeting during the noughties, when re-homed Albion were the smaller club.

Covid restrictions: tba
relaxed 26/1/22 - no covid pass or negative test (15/12/21) . none @ 19/7/21.
(lockdown 3 @ 6/1/21, no fans). (Post lockdown 2: Tier 2 @ 27/11/20 . Tier 3 @ 17/12/20 no fans).
