Travel: Crewe

Crewe's GroundALEXANDRA STADIUM

Covid restrictions: tba
relaxed 26/1/22 - no covid pass or negative test (15/12/21) . none @ 19/7/21.
(lockdown 3 @ 6/1/21, no fans). (Post lockdown 2: Tier 2 @ 27/11/20).

A 10k capacity low profile ground in Gresty Road, back of the railway lines. One main stand dwarfs others and is opposite away side of the pitch. 1600 are 'housed' on 'popular side' in a long low pillared structure (Morrison Van Stand). Spartan facilites.
A detatched sort of atmosphere, where mainly visitors voices are heard as home support seems muted - apart from a drummer and friends behind the west goal, where the bright winter sun goes down - or in summer doesn't.

About 240 miles - M6 J16 and pick up A5020 into Crewe town centre. Turn left at A534 junction, with sign for the station and left again into Gresty Road. Large pay & display car-park next to ground. Away parking is further across off Nantwich Road if desired.

LAST THERE -
Falmer years: no visits from 2011.
Withdean era: 9/8/08 League One.
Got a first win on opening day of L1. Trainloads made the trip to witness a great performance, then left so excited from a very late strike.
