RECREATION GROUND (old venue)*
An old school local pitch in a residential area part of town. Some updating but as and when. 8500 capacity. Travelling hoards were housed on the Cross Street Terrace, up to 1400 in the wet. 450ish additional seats in old wooden main stand. An atmosphere if you tried hard.

M1 J29 and A617 to town. At roundabout take A61 Sheffield Rd to Whittington Moor district. Ground at junction of A619. Various car-parks nearby.
Station; Chesterfield, about a mile and half into town.

A windy day but a valuable 3 points on the road after a string of defeats. Over 500 Albion made a helluva racket under a roof and the team upped it for a 1-0 win.
