TURF MOOR

A 22k all-seater redeveloped ground in a residential area. Away allocation designated up behind W goal in old style Cricket Field (Ladbrokes) Stand.
Large area (4000) segregated and stewarded, so a tad flat in atmosphere. Had wooden seats there on past visits in Championship days of yore.

nav - BB10 4BX - 280 miles.
Road; M6 J29, M65 J10 toward town centre, then signs for Townley Hall off large central roundabout.
Parking; in town or turn left at lights just before ground and right into Cricket Club to park for small charge. Clubhouse has bar.
Rail; Burnley Central - 1.5 miles

11/4/26 - springtime in Lancs and nice to see smiles on travelling support's faces at teatime. Att: 20,408
13/4/24 . An afternoon up on the moor and not a lot of fun. Att 20,887 (away 1940)
14/8/21. Fans were back on opening day... what fun too! Att 16,910 (away 1339).
6/2/21. Covid - no fans attending, lockdown 3.
26/7/20. No fans attended due to coronavirus pandemic.
8/12/18. A good turnout of away fans on a Sat afternoon in early Dec saw... no goals! Att 18,497 (away 810).

Covid restrictions:
relaxed 26/1/22 - no covid pass or negative test (15/12/21) . none @ 19/7/21.
20/21 - (17/5/21 = 5.5k home fans . lockdown 3 @ 6/1/21 = 0 fans. Post lockdown 2: Tier 3 @ 27/11/20).
19/20 - 26/7/20 behind closed doors . (postponed 17/5/20 - PL suspended until 17/6/20).

We came away unbeaten at this stage of the campaign, which resulted in going very close to a top-two spot.
Withdean era: 24/9/05 - Championship.
Another point here from 3 seasons meeting at level2 during the early to mid noughties.
