MK Dons 10
1. Wimbledon was a victim of its own success. Plough Lane could never be a pukka ground and the club was on the move in 1991 - Jobsworth style.
2. They shared at Selhurst Park, which was to be short term. Then would relocate within Merton. Time dragg-don. They were going to settle in Dublin!
3. Plough Lane went tits-up in 2002. They were officially sweet FA homeless.
4. Administration in 2003 and authorities allowed a move to Milton Keynes. Talk about a tale of two dons.
5. AFC Wimbledon was born and kicked-off anew at base of the non-league pyramid. They kept majority of 'home' support at Kingstonian.
6. Franchise FC relocated at the National Hockey Stadium and changed name to MK Dons in 2004. Crazy Gang or what?
7. Silbury Boulevard had two stands and two open ends. A bit like Withdean without a track. So they erected some temporary seating and one end also got a roof. It cost 2.5 million and doubled capacity - no way MK.
8. The plastic pitch was replaced. That's 'elf 'n safety for ya.
9. They built a new stadium at Denbigh Hall and the seats are said to be very comfortable. Hey, locals and visitors just love it!
10. In 2006 the FL changed their rules. Dons died but Dons lived - elsewhere. Apparently it won't happen again.
