Championship 16/17
The die was cast from last term as CH attempted to reproduce those kinds of impressive numbers throughout this campaign.
Q1 figures (games 1-12) suggested a play-off place was achievable.
The target was set for retaining 4th place.
In the event automatic promotion to the PREM was achieved. |

Championship 15/16
A truly wonderful start for Chris Hughton to this campaign that set a high benchmark for then attempting automatic promotion.
The target set to try and obtain was deliberately ambitious.
Albion just failed in that respect but overall, a miss is as good as a mile. |

Championship 14/15
A very disappointing beginning for new manager Sami Hyypia. Expectation had been to bid for top-six but in view of results, keeping out of the bottom eight was wishful thinking and evading the drop zone imperative.
The target was understandably therefore aimed to be modest.
In the event Chris Hughton did just enough to secure safety. |

Championship 13/14
Oh dear, not a brilliant start was it! Oscar Garcia was set the mission to improve on Poyet's first year in the Championship.
The target was to finish in the top ten, maybe periphery of play-offs.
He did that ok and got BHA into a p-o place to boot! |

Championship 12/13
Gus could not improve on last season's Q1 (games 1-12) numbers despite employing a better squad to go get those points. It appeared he had it all to prove making progress all over again.
Target became aim for just reaching play-offs.
By end of season he did just that. |

Championship 15/16
An average start in our first year at Falmer. Ironically you have to go back to 1999 and Albion's homecoming season at Withdean, for comparable stats at this stage. Micky Adams got W5 D3 L4 Po11 and it benchmarked a term of consolidation in a new stadium.
In the event a similar thing happened at the Amex, Falmer. We ended the season short of play-offs but with future promise. |
