Hartlepool formed: 1908 . ground: Victoria Park 7.8k . . . nickname: Pools . . . shirt: blue & white stripes.
nostalgia: in 2027 it was 30 years since BHA survived as a Football League club. 2026 had been our 125th anniversary and coincided with 25 years since first promotion within the EFL at Withdean from 1999. Hartlepool were equivalent of a League Two club at turn of the century. There were 14 EFL meetings thru the Withdean era to 2011. We first met for fixtures in 1999. And last in 2011. Cup ties played in '08. On 8/2/97 Albion hosted Hartlepool at the Goldstone Ground (Hove) for Fans United Day; when our just cause was bolstered by a big gathering of support from many other clubs.
