Brezovan out with injury
What was presumed to be a sprained wrist in training has unfortunately turned out to be a fracture so he will be out for six weeks missing the start
of the season.
I hope Poke manages to cope with the hard games we have in August.
I'm not too worried about his mistake against Whitehawk.

Good question. Not sure we've handled the keeper situation well.

Give Poke a chance before writing him off.

A friend of mine who is a Saints fan says he was highly regarded down there but they had other good keepers in front of him so had to let him go.

Was he playing for Torquay against us in the FA Cup last season? If so, he was only beaten by a bullet header from Andrew Crofts and was pretty
secure for the rest of the game, and we were piling on the pressure in the later stages.

Was that aimed at me?
If so, then I'm not writing anyone off. But the fact remains that Poke is not proven at this level and as such is something of a gamble. I guess it
depends how much you want to see us promoted this season? I would have preferred a proven performer to have been brought in to compete with Brezovan,
who himself is a journeyman performer at this level.
On paper, the goalkeepers now look by far the weakest part of our squad but I hope they prove that assessment wrong and rise to the promotion task.

If the match at Estadio Municipal is any indication then Poke is the go to guy for the opener.Murray and Greer both suspended by the way.
