Good squad signing. A youngster with real potential.
Well done again all concerned and welcome back Mr Barnes.
hope you are also right about Greer Wardy...

Lovely stuff! Still hope Gus can add at least 1 more experienced front man to replace Forster.

That would be another good signing if we could pull it off.
I was wondering if we might have gone for Gary Doherty (as Greer was so expensive) but I see he has parked up at Charlton. Anyone heard any more on
the Greer saga?

Mark by the sea on the Argus site, who seems to be in the know, is now expecting Painter to play at centre back and McNulty at left back, so maybe the
deal is dead, but that could just be guessing on my part. Perhaps Bloom is not prepared to sanction the alleged figure for a player with only a year
to remain on his contract. Frankly Swindon are being stupid - they would be left with a player who does not want to play for them, and one who can
leave for nothing at the end of next season, similar to the Hammond situation we faced. Anyway, the story is here:

The club site mentions deals for Kishishev (who impressed me today at Burgess Hill) and OGH. The Argus goes further to say 1 year deals. I don't
have a problem with that as experience is worth a lot and it's good to have squad players on the bench.
The Argus (& Swindon Advertiser) say Greer is to sign on Monday subject to medical.

I think the Kishishev 1 year deal is shrewd because he can cover so many positions as well.
OGH deserves another year
...and you guys were right all along on the Greer deal.
Starting to shape up nicely...can't wait for August 7th!

How many times has he been written off by fans and how many managers have offered him deals?
He may not score the goals but makes space for other players to score by harrying and chasing down. He also has a fantastic amount of assists. He is
certainly worth the value of his wages (and the £1K and a set of kit) Legend.

I've been laughing at the wind ups on Nsc regarding Bennett. I spoke to him yesterday whilst he was watching the game. He has a virus, his glands
in his neck are swollen. Nothing more sinister than that.

Very pleased with the Greer signing, a big missing piece of the jigsaw solved there. Now the Forster replacement is the priority and we might have a
chance this season.

McNulty goes on loan
quote from Argus
Jimmy McNulty has rejoined Scunthorpe United on a six-month loan.
The Albion left-back made three appearances on loan to The Iron last season, where boss Nigel Adkins was keen to take him back.
McNulty, 25, has been left out of the Seagulls' first two friendlies this summer due to uncertainty over his future.
He recently revealed in The Argus he would only leave Albion if it meant playing in a higher division.

I'm hoping Gus is lining up two strikers to be honest. One an experienced marksmen to replace Forster and the other to give us an option if Murray is
suspended and Holroyd fails to improve on last seasons performances.
We need some experience up front this season to challenge for the play-offs - be interesting to see who Gus has in mind.

Just the sort of striker we need. This would propel us into genuine promotion contenders - but it would be a massive coup to nick him off Leeds. With
Lua Lua seemingly close to coming back this would give us a massive boost ahead of the new season.

Isn't he quite similar to Murray and Barnes? Ideally a quicker fox-in-the-box type of player is what we need to give us something different to what
we have. That's probably why we are stalling over the Norwegian guy, he looked very similar to Barnes.

we have a fox in the box but unfortunately he is getting on a bit but his one year contract will give him the time to show Gus just how good he is in
the box but I suspect he already knows just what he is like otherwise he would would he got rid
who?

think Bryan Hughes has had a reality check in the fact that two clubs don't rate him including Huddersfield and has maybe dropped his wage demand.
Don't know much about him is he any good?

Torbjorn Agdestein signed for one year. 18 year old from Norway who has played in under 19 squad for his country. One for the development squad but
to be pushing for the first team.
Club site also mentions another striker on the horizon before 11th Sept (which could indicate a loan or a striker without a club)
