Hurray

An ugly well fought 1-0 at Millwall. Hurray for Spanish Dave and his penalties.

WAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

It was never going to be pretty going to the Den, but it is nice to see that we escaped with none of our players hospitalized :) And gutting out a game in which we were not at our best and in which our possession game appears not to have been flowing are positive signs.

Apologies to all for my absence the past few weeks. I missed a few WAHOO! opportunities, but am back and ready to WAHOO us toward a possible playoff spot.

We have Seagulls (and their supporters) on the Left Coast of the US, as well!

Great win and I still think we can sneak into the playoffs - would love us to have that chance at least.

I felt the same on Tuesday night. The win seemed to come out of nowhere but all in all, we deserved it by putting our chances away.

Then we go and do the same again at Bolton.

Hurray.

Belated WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOs for our recent run of form.

Taking 7 out of 9 points from this recent stretch of games is a brilliant return!

Well done to Oscar and the lads. I remain impressed with how Oscar has managed the club with not even a full preseason to get used to the league, the players, managing in a new country, etc.

Even if we do not sneak into the playoffs this season, I am pleased with the heart, the attractive quality of play (except maybe a bit of the finishing, or lack thereof), and the direction of the club.

And one more WAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOO for good measure :P

It seems to be two steps forward and one step back.
We threw away three points against a very poor Ipswich team.
23 shots but only 5 on target.
Some shooting practice needed, methinks.:flame:

Have not yet seen the highlights, but the statistics (which I fully understand can be deceptive) suggested that we generally controlled the match. But the lack of clinical finishing condemned us yet again to lost points. Sounds like Lingard should have buried an excellent chance in the first few minutes. If he had put that one away, the tenor of the entire game would have changed and Ipswich would have been forced to chase the game right from the start.

We continue to stand on the doorstep to the playoff positions but are too timid to knock on the door.

I think that was the worst Albion performance I have seen at the Amex.
The players were devoid of ideas, and there seemed to be no fight left in them. I didn't boo, as some did, but it's the first time I haven't applauded the team off the pitch.
I'm not sure how Oscar and Jonesy can get them motivated for the last eight games, but I hope the players show some desire to keep the season alive until it's mathematically impossible to make the play-offs.

I can never understand with our team how we can go from doing really well one minute to be awful the next. I was pleased that we drew 3-3 last night - the fact that we were able to put away three goals is positive after scoring a series of 1-0s and then losing games. Maybe that might give the boys hope?
