To my Friends on this board.
Some of you may have noticed my absence from the board recently.
It is with deepest sadness that I convey to you the death of my son Jonathan. He was killed in a vehicle accident. He was on his way home from
studying for his final exams at university and was hit by a lady making a left hand turn in front of him. Jon was on his motorcycle and was killed
instantly. It has been a devastating loss for Debbie and I. There have been times that I have cried uncontrollably but in this moment of semi normalcy
I wanted to let you all know.
My friend Blackie, whom some of you met when I came to England for a visit, flew here to be with us.
We had the funeral 2 days ago and I am trying to do "normal" things to get back on track.
You probably won't see much of me for the next while.
Love you all!
Brighton fan from the other side of the pond!

Dearest Sully and Debbie,
I am so very sorry to hear about the devastating loss of your son but I am glad you have shared your grief with us. Losing a child so young and with
so much promise rips out your heart and you will never get over his loss. You have friends on here and I send you my love and deepest sympathy in
your time of great sadness. May Jonathan rest in peace.
Never stop believing - Brighton forever!!

Sully and Debbie. Nobody could possibly imagine your hurt at this time, and no words can hope to salve the hearts that you have had torn out. Be
strong and brave, but let the tears flow for as long as is needed. Stick together and lean on family and friends. Love, best wishes and respect.
RIP Jonathan.

Sully I had noticed something on Facebook but didn't feel it was appropriate to mention it here until you posted something. I have been away for the
weekend so not seen this thread earlier. All I can say is that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Debbie. You will never 'get over it' but in
time the pain will lessen. I hope you know who your friends are and where we are. I'm glad Blackie was able to go over to see you. xx

Dear Sully, Although I am only a recent participant on the forum, I had seen and appreciated many of your previous posts. That, plus the fact that we
are both North American supporters of the Seagulls gave me an initial sense of connection with you. I cannot imagine your feelings of loss during
this dark time. Please know that your wife and you will be in my thoughts and that I will light a candle for both of you and your son Jonathan.
We have Seagulls (and their supporters) on the Left Coast of the US, as well!
